Asobiware establishes the following Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as “this Policy”) regarding the handling of users’ personal information in the mobile application “JiroTalks” (hereinafter referred to as “the App”).
“Personal information” refers to the “personal information” as defined in the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, meaning information about a living individual that can identify a specific individual by name, date of birth, address, telephone number, contact information, and other descriptions, as well as data related to appearance, fingerprints, voiceprints, and health insurance certificate numbers.
Asobiware may ask for personal information such as name, date of birth, address, telephone number, email address, and payment information when users register for use. Asobiware may also collect transaction records and payment information, including users’ personal information, from Asobiware’s partners (information providers, advertisers, ad delivery destinations, etc.) regarding transactions between users and partners.
The purposes for which Asobiware collects and uses personal information are as follows:
Asobiware may change the purpose of use of personal information only if it is reasonably recognized that the purpose is related to the purpose before the change. If the purpose of use is changed, Asobiware will notify users or announce the changed purpose by Asobiware’s prescribed method or within the App.
Except for the cases listed below, Asobiware will not provide personal information to third parties without the prior consent of the user. However, this does not apply where permitted by the Act on the Protection of Personal Information or other laws and regulations.
Notwithstanding the preceding paragraph, the following cases are not considered provision to third parties:
When a user requests disclosure of personal information, Asobiware will promptly disclose it to the user. However, all or part of the information may not be disclosed if disclosure falls under any of the following, and if a decision not to disclose is made, Asobiware will promptly notify the user. A fee of 10,000 yen per request will be charged for disclosure of personal information.
If a user’s personal information held by Asobiware is incorrect, the user may request correction, addition, or deletion (hereinafter referred to as “correction, etc.”) by the procedure prescribed by Asobiware. If Asobiware determines that it is necessary to respond to the user’s request, Asobiware will promptly make the correction, etc. If Asobiware makes a correction, etc., or decides not to make a correction, etc., Asobiware will promptly notify the user.
If a user requests suspension or deletion (hereinafter referred to as “suspension of use, etc.”) of personal information on the grounds that it is being handled beyond the scope of the purpose of use or has been obtained by improper means, Asobiware will promptly conduct the necessary investigation. If, based on the investigation results, Asobiware determines that it is necessary to respond to the request, Asobiware will promptly suspend use, etc. of the personal information. If Asobiware suspends use, etc., or decides not to suspend use, etc., Asobiware will promptly notify the user. If suspension of use, etc. involves a large amount of cost or is otherwise difficult, and alternative measures necessary to protect the user’s rights and interests can be taken, Asobiware will take such alternative measures.
The contents of this Policy may be changed without notice to users, except as otherwise provided by law or this Policy. Unless otherwise specified by Asobiware, the revised Privacy Policy will take effect when posted within the App.
